Residential

DAY Architectural has extensive experience in all areas of the residential sector from small scale planning sensitive bespoke private residences through to large scale high density City Centre commercial projects for Developer Clients.

A particular skill of DAY Architectural is the ability to maximise land and building value through innovative design solutions and careful negotiation with Local Planning Authorities, Conservation Officers and other interested parties.

Recent market difficulties within the residential sector have generated the need for historic planning approvals on now over valued sites to be revisited to generate viable project solutions. DAY offer a service
whereby not only historic design solutions are questioned but also proposed usages with many a residential site now having a viable alternative use.

This value engineering of planning permissions can apply to all areas of the residential sector from private residential to Developer led opportunities. In addition to viability enhancement, DAY produce high value approvals by working closely with Local Authority Planning Officers to pragmatically identify key issues then through a partnership approach to create context sensitive, pragmatic solutions.

DAY has recently completed the major refurbishment and extension of a traditional Victorian London town house in Stoke Newington which incorporated a new garden kitchen pavilion and first floor bedroom and new bathroom suite.

Other live local projects include a major contemporary extension and refurbishment of a Grade 2 Listed property in Arkholme, Lancashire and the sensitive enclosure of a swimming pool for a private residential property in Windermere in the Lake District.
