Facade refurbishments and improvements, and a new main entrance.
This project entails the façade overhaul and upgrade works to the main tower block situated at the Aintree Hospital site, to improve the existing building's envelope and subsequently the internal environment. The work has been meticulously planned to ensure that the interface with the existing building is kept to a minimum, to help reduce the impact on surrounding live hospital environments. The work will also entail the formation of a significantly enhanced main entrance, all of which has been designed to align with the existing material palette of the neighbouring UCAT scheme. The new main entrance will expand the current footprint to create an improved sense of arrival and provide a greater depth of relief to the drop-off zones situated in front of the existing facility. Works will also include some exterior hard and soft landscaping to help ease congestion and also enhance vehicular and pedestrian movement to, from and across the site towards the building.
